My name is Kwame Brandt-Pierce and I'm a pianist and composer from Brooklyn, NY. Over the years I have had the pleasure of performing with several artists including, Solange Knowles, The Roots, Saul Williams, Pharoahe Monch, Jean Grae, Tamar Kali, Carl Hancock Rux, and Amel Larrieux. Great music. Global adventures. Fun times had for sure.
I am best known for my work with 3beanstew, a Brooklyn based musical collective influenced by the music of Tom Waits, Sun Ra, Charles Mingus, and Parliament-Funkadelic. I've also been known to write and perform with the musical trio Chocolate Orphan, a project that teams me up with vocalist Soyini Assata and producer Suede Jenkins. When I'm not doing that I compose and perform with 3bean Children's Theatre, a troupe of storytellers, musicians, and puppeteers creating original stories and theatrical performances for children.
Outside of music, I have a deep appreciation for fine whiskey and well crafted cocktails. Heck, I've even been known to mix a drink or two when friends drop by for a recording session in my modest Brooklyn apartment.
I am currently working on a forthcoming album set to release on all digital platforms in Spring of 2019. Between now and then, I'll be releasing singles and mixtapes periodically for your listening pleasure.
